As you can read on the BBC website, handsfree sets pick up radiation from the phone and cause up to 2.5 times the radiation of the phone to be transmitted to the head. 

We protect our electronic equipment with such ferrite beads, let's look after ourselves, too.

Mobile Patch
A patch of shielding material that you can place into your existing case, handbag, or pocket.

With a size of 10cm x 18 cm, this patch can be cut to size to fit into your existing case.  Place it in such a way, as to protect the head/body side of the phone and allow radiation to go through the back of the phone.   An opening must be left, otherwise there is no reception!

Alternatively, you can place the shield inside your handbag, bumbag or belt-case.

The fabric is made from silver coated nylon/polyester mesh, painted black.

The INVISIBLE shielding that fits into your commercial case!

The size of 11x15 cm fits into an A6 mailing envelope and can make two phone shields.  You might also decide to double the layers for maximum protection.

Simply cut it so size with scissors, fit it inside your case on the head-facing side and enjoy the protection.  This foil (rdf 76) has originally been produced to protect people indoors by shielding their windows against penetration of electro-magnetic radiation.
