Shield yourself against -

  • High frequency (HF) electromagnetic radiation (EMR) from mobile phone transmitters, radio and TV transmitters, general electro-pollutants, like neighbour's cordless phones (esp. DECT)

  • Low frequency (LF) electric fields from the power grid.  This can be caused by home wiring and appliances, neighbours, power lines.

We stock protection for every purpose imaginable (paints, wallpapers, curtain material, window tinting, building). All shielding is based on metal surfaces, graphite, or fine metal mesh, woven into the textiles.  Some materials are very light and permeable, others are denser and more suited to clothing.  Please contact us for materials not listed here.

Fabrics are effective to 99.99 % reduction in radiation intensity.  Depending on your needs, you may chose a fabric that is like any other cotton material and can be used for textile purposes.

A decorative, white, unbleached cotton material with absolutely textile characteristics.  Light, breathable, easy to sow.  Make sure to use double seams to avoid radiation leakage.  Mostly used for window curtains, part-shielding of rooms, clothing, or bed-shielding (mozzie net). Can't be earthed.  The top-of-the-range product.  Price per square meter.

100% textile properties:  Washable, easy to sow and to iron, anti-static.
Ideally suited for curtains.
Swiss Shield can not be earthed and there is no need for it. Make sure that the electric a/c fields from internal sources are minimal. Otherwise, chose a material that needs earthing.

High Frequency EMR- Shielding material

This is a silver-coated nylon material, pre-shrunk and thermally fixated.
It reduces electromagnetic radiation.  The material can be sewn with a machine.
It is highly conductive, anti-septic, skin-friendly, soft, with an absolutely textile character.
The material can be washed in the machine, using the 'hand wash' cycle, or it can be dry-cleaned.
It has to be earthed well, to avoid collecting electric a/c fields. Price per square meter.

HF- Shielding Material

This material can be used for curtains or blinds.
It consists of metal-coated polyamide-weave, pre-shrunk and thermo-fixated.
The coating is a-septic and skin-friendly.  
It is important to earth this material, to avoid picking up electric a/c fields. Price per square meter.

HF- Curtain shielding material

A very light and breathable material to shield HF radiation. 

Mostly used to shield windows (as curtains), parts of rooms, or beds (mozzie nets). 

Topaz can not be earthed, this may be a problem if you have high electric a/c fields. Otherwise, this is a convenience, of course.          

Comes in width of 1.6 m and 2.5 m.
